Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Last Stand' Begins In October
Arnold Schwarzenegger is saying hasta la vista to California and heading to New Mexico to film his comeback flick, "The Last Stand." The Valencia County News-Bulletin has learned the film will start shooting in Belen, NM in October, which gives Schwarzenegger a good month and a half to brush up on his acting skills. This will be the first leading role the Governator has had since 2003's "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." Fortunately, "The Last Stand" returns Schwarzenegger to his action-movie roots. The Western is slated for a January 18, 2013 release, and no other cast members have been announced yet. Location manager Paul Roberts told the News-Bulletin casting will be completed by September, so I'm guessing we're going to be hearing about a lot of actors flocking to the Jee-woon Kim-directed movie over the next few weeks. Last month an official plot synopsis for "The Last Stand" was released. The movie sounded a bit more like a "Fast & Furious"-style thriller than a traditional Western, but with Schwarzenegger at the top of the cast it should be fun either way. He is set to star as Sheriff Owens, a man who has settled down in a border town after leaving his life with the LAPD. However, a notorious drug kingpin has escaped from a prisoner convoy right near Owens' set-up in Sommerton Junction, and it is up to him to prevent the cartel leader from causing any mayhem. The plot synopsis promises it will be "one of the most daring face offs in cinema history." Are you looking forward to "The Last Stand"? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!

VIDEO: Bane, Big Ben Spotted as The Dark Knight Rises Invades Heinz Field
Another Monday, another bevy of spoilers from the Pittsburgh set of The Dark Knight Rises. (Welcome to event moviemaking in 2011, everyone!) On Saturday afternoon, the Christopher Nolan-directed film took over Heinz Field for a shoot involving Tom Hardy, 10,000 extras, Pittsburgh Steelers players Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward and former Steelers coach Bill Cowher. Click through for some very spoiler-y video. Per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the scene in question featured Bane (Hardy) using explosives and henchmen to take over a game between the Gotham Rogues (the fictional Steelers, in this case) and the Rapid City Monuments just after kickoff. Bane then brings a hostage out to the field, makes a threatening announcement to the assembled citizens of Gotham and does… something. What happens at the end of the scene is not immediately clear, perhaps (just wildly speculating here) because Nolan knew this would leak out and didn’t want the climax to get spoiled along with everything else. For what it’s worth, the Post-Gazette does report that the scene in question is a “flashback.” Do with that information what you will. The biggest actual reveal from the Heinz Field shoot on Saturday? Hardy’s Bane voice, which sounds completely preposterous out of context — like some Scooby-Doo villain on helium. Also, is The Dark Knight Rises going to feature more day-set scenes than both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight put together? Judging from the last two weeks of Pittsburgh spy pics, apparently so. Watch the Post -Gazette news video, and the spoiler-y fan-shot Bane video below. · Game day for Batman filming at Heinz Field [Pittsburgh Post-Gazette] · WARNING! This video contains major spoilers!
