Disney XD to evolve 'Fort Boyard'

Disney XD is starting unscripted adventure series "Fort Boyard -- Ultimate Challenge," an adaptation of the Zodiak Media Group format, with 10 halfhour episodes premiering March. 17. A summer time hit in excess of 2 decades on France 2, "Fort Boyard" is created by Zodiak's The Building Blocks and Adventure Line Prods. and it has been modified in nearly 40 nations. Geno Segers ("Set of Nobleman") and Laura Hamilton (U.K.'s "Dancing on Ice") will host the Disney XD version. Set on the 19th-century ocean fort off the price of France, six groups of four teens in the U.S. and U.K. will compete in challenges needing brains, brawn and working together for that ultimate goal of overcoming the fort. Nigel Pickard and Ged Allen, Pierre Godde and Jamila Metran professional produce. Disney XD will air this program all over the world except in France and Nordic nations, while CiTV will broadcast it in great britan.
